IJM partners with local authorities in 19 countries to combat modern slavery, trafficking, and violence against vulnerable communities. As of today, they've helped rescue over 50,000 people from modern slavery. I find their work inspiring and honest.

A Quaker organization founded in 1917, working for peace and justice worldwide. Their programs span humanitarian relief, refugee support, criminal justice reform, and peacebuilding. Since 1948, AFSC has maintained a continuous presence in Gaza, where their Palestinian staff currently deliver food, water, and essential supplies to over a million displaced people. Guided by the Quaker belief in the divine light within each person, AFSC combines direct aid with work to address the root causes of violence and inequality.

OCP works on making government spending transparent. Their work on data standards (a framework they created) is used by nearly 80 governments and has impacted over $120 billion in public spending. More mandated clarity by governments means more funding for schools, hospitals, and services.

Donating to these organizations reflects our support for the specific work they do on the ground — not necessarily full alignment with every position or statement they make. We choose charities based on the impact of their actions, not ideological agreement.

IJM (1/2)

IJM partners with local authorities in 19 countries to combat modern slavery, trafficking, and violence against vulnerable communities. Through their justice system transformation model, they've helped rescue over 50,000 people from slavery and oppression. Their Project Lantern in Cebu, Philippines achieved a verified 79% reduction in child sex trafficking, and their work in Tamil Nadu, India resulted in 380,000 fewer people in bonded labor. By strengthening local justice systems rather than just conducting rescues, IJM creates lasting change that protects entire communities.
